The Disappointment of President Bush 2 provided by Bravenet.com

I was a supporter of the war against Afghanistan when it started, and I was a believer in the idea that Mr Bush had a plan for homeland security. However, as time has passed, it has become increasingly clear that Mr Bush has failed in so many ways. I am compelled to speak out as a citizen of the United States as it is the responsibility of every citizen to speak up when compelled. Some may disagree and that is fine. It is NOT a requirement of fellowship for one to agree with me on these issues. But I believe that the facts are compelling.

Read on and you will see just what flawed reasoning is the Domino Theory. There was a Domino Theory as a rationale for Vietnam and a new Domino Theory as explaned by President George W. Bush. As you will see here, both Domino Theories have no validity whatsoever.

Mr Bush has lied to the American public and to Iraq in so many ways. I cannot imagine a President who has ever lied more consistently to the American people. These are a few but there are many more:

1.He lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. He says it was faulty intelligence, however, it is posssible that this intelligence was tampered with. And considering all the other lies taken in total, it is likely that the intelligence was interpreted to fit the desire of Bush and Cheney to invade Iraq.

2. He lied about the relationship between iraq and 9/11. With Mr Bush, it has always been about Saddam Hussein, not about Osama Bin Laden.

3. He had Mr Cheney lie about the tenacity of the Sunni opposition as Mr Cheney said the resistence was in its final stages of defeat. This has proven to be so untrue.

4. He lied about the readiness of the Homeland Security department. We have since learned that the department was not prepared in any way, shape or form for Katrina. We have since learned that 9/11 commission essential protections have been ignored by the Bush administration and have not been introduced by the department of Homeland Security. Regarding Homeland Security, the king has no clothes! The money needed was given to the top 10 percent of Americans in massive tax cuts.

5. He lied about the insurgents mainly being foreigners. They are mainly Iraqis against Iraqis.

6. He lied about US lead terrorist activity, offshore torture as people are handed over to other governments, and the disappearence of people in the name of democracy and freedom.

7. He has lied to the Iraqi people in that he is using propaganda to influence Iraqis and passing this propaganda off as democratic discussion. This is plain wrong, even if the issues have merit. What democracy survives with a manipulated press? The means justify the ends with Bush and his minions.

8. He has lied in attempting to equate the war in Iraq with World War 2 regarding importance. This is an affront to those brave men and women who defended our borders (a legitimate function of war) from the ravages brought by Japan and Hitler's Germany. Iraq is no where nearly as important as the action taken in the second world war. Indeed, as you can see if you read further, Iraq is more like Vietnam than it is like WW2!

In a word, President Bush is one of the most unethical presidents who has ever lived and is claiming to do God's will in this mess he has created. While I believe that he is genuinly concerned about America, we cannot just "trust" a president with unlimited power. He should not take this concern personally!

We have a constitution because of the abuse of unlimited power. We must treat Mr Bush's attacks on checks and balances as an attack upon the rights of citizens of the United States.

We are now involved in the impossible task of keeping peace among two factions that hate each other in Iraq. Our status in the world has diminished. Our leadership in the world has been squandered. While no one was sad to see Saddam go, we are involved in a can of worms that has caused our side (mainly the CIA) to behave like goons and thugs, and that should deeply concern every American. Even John McCain is disturbed by the behavior of this administration. As a citizen I can no longer sit by and avoid comment.

If God has given citizens of the USA power, we must excercise our consciences and participate where necessary. I do not look to participate continually in this matter, as I have more important things to do. However, the parallel with Vietnam must be published. With regard to Vietnam, 50,000 Americans died before we understood that the Domino Theory, ie, that all of Southeast Asia would fall to the communists, was a bogus and untrue concept. These men died in vain for a theory that had no merit whatsoever.

Likewise, the idea that the security of America will be compromised by failure in Iraq is equally as bogus. Further, the idea that there is a new domino theory that Al Quaida will rule from Spain to Indonesia has the same flawed logic as the first domino Theory. How many people have to die for this false theory? Have we learned NOTHING from history?

Our security is being compromised daily by the refusal of President Bush to impliment the 9/11 commission safeguards through the impotent Department of Homeland Security. But Mr Bush is a pawn of oil power and of the military industrial complex and will not listen to this call. He will only listen to the elections, and his party will have to be removed from power by elections for any real change to be made. If America believe his fearmongering, then the status quo will be maintained and we will be in Iraq for years and years, with unchecked presidential power becoming engrained into the American governmental fabric.

It is interesting to note that there is no man more wedded to BOTH oil and the military industrial complex than is Dick Cheney. If your son or daughter has died in Iraq or was injured, think on that for awhile! It should make you highly concerned about the motivation behind the war in Iraq. Add to that notion the fact that men have died without proper armor and the fact that we are sweeping cities over and over, just like we swept hills in Vietnam without holding them, and you can see that many have died in vain over there even if we were to succeed!

I want you all to know that I vigorously support Israel, but America must do the right thing regarding America, and we must not have an open ended war that makes the Arabs hate us and Israel even more. Home

[Update 02/07: The United States and other states established the UN charter in answer to the horrors of Nazi Germany. If you type in these words into Google, [Iraq, oil, Paul Oneil] and study the links, you will see that the former Secretary of Treasury, Oneill, viewed secret documents of the Bush administration that showed Iraq oil being split up among US and Britain's oil companies, ie Chevron, BP, Exxon, etc., and that these documents were created prior to 9/11! Of course this makes Bush, Cheney, and Rice as well as the brave soldiers of our nation into war criminals. The military was duped by the administration into committing the war crime of invading Iraq for the benefit of oil companies!! International law was ignored because of greed.]

[UPDATE on the evening of the election 2006 I quote this from public radio: "JOHN DIMSDALE: Phillip Verleger is a studious observer of global oil markets for the Institute for International Economics. He's not prone to hyperbole. But he says he was stunned when he heard the President talk about a U.S. role in protecting Iraq's oil reserves from terrorists.

PHILLIP VERLEGER: Essentially, by making that statement he has stated that his energy policy is totally bankrupt.

Ever since 9/11, Verleger says the Bush White House has refused to acknowledge any link between oil and the U.S. mission in Iraq.

VERLEGER: The reason they have studiously avoided it is it provides a huge incentive for taking big steps now to reduce U.S. oil imports. The only way you can do that is through conservation measures .. such as imposing an oil import fee or raising the gasoline tax."

So instead of conserving on fuel and making the USA independent on the Middle East, all we have to do according to Bush is to send a few more soldiers to die. We gotta keep those SUV's running after all!!! This President, with this revelation, truly disgusts me and the USA is worthy of better. Bush has destroyed the constitution by his attack on the rights of Americans, but that is a little more obscure to the average American. It is not obscure that he has failed to make us energy independent because it is easier to send troops to invade a country. Every conservative and liberal in this country should be disgusted and repulsed at this admission by President Bush. Just type in "oil, Bush, Iraq" into any search engine and you will see that the president of the United States is guilty of imperialism at the least and a war crime of invading a country for economic reasons at the worst. While I cannot make that judgement, it is a sobering thought.

We must remember that President Bush is a Protestant, and he is not good at separating church and state in his own world views. If anything, he believes that there is good reason to combine his church views with his worldview regarding running the country. This is in stark contrast to President Kennedy, who did not do so.

However this behavior of continually lying in the name of God is worse than anything Bill Clinton ever did with respect to the constitution of the United States. No one is saying that Bush is not concerned about the safety of America. It goes too far to say that he doesn't care. However, if the USA is not serious about its own constitution then who cares about the outcome in Iraq? This abuse of the constitution of the United States is the final lie of the Bush administration. It cheapens democracy and makes us look like a bunch of arrogant idiots. And if we don't care, we are even more stupid. One branch of the US government cannot take this kind of power into its own hands and expect to gain the trust of citizens, Europeans, Arabs or anyone.]

The fake letter from Nigeria was just one of the many lies used by Bush to divert attention from oil as a reason for going into Iraq, even though Laurence Lindsey, chief economics advisor said that oil was the key issue in regime change way back in 2002!!

I want to throw some links at everyone. I have not made up my mind if they are all true, but there are three things that are quite disturbing about this study that sprung from a program I saw tonight on an alternative tv station. They raise major questions.

First, the BROTHER of George Bush, Marvin Bush, was a partner in the security company that guarded the world trade center. I didn't know that. Second, there remains a gag order TO THIS DAY, so that firefighters that heard explosions on floors below the burning floors are not allowed to voice those testimonies. Third, it appears that building 7 was imploded. It fell just like a building that was imploded.

I support Israel, but these rogues make it very difficult for Israel to make their bed with neocons don't you think? After all, the charter of the UN is important to Israel, even if it is not important to the neocon imperialists.

Jay,remember, it was said that Pearl Harbor was permitted, allowed by Roosevelt to anger the US citizens to war. It would be fairly easy for the United States government to allow another Pearl Harbor with all the terrorists trying to attack in the world. Why on earth would this report mention the need for a new Pearl Harbor and Bush and Cheney were members!!! Jay, this is a very ominous coincidence, don't you think? It is clear that Rumsfeld was given the task of doing all the other upgrades in this report. It is not beyond the realm of possibility that Dick Cheney was in charge of looking the other way and of controlling the intelligence leading up to 9/11. Remember, it has been said by many in government that Cheney turned a deaf ear to ominous intelligence as did Condi Rice, sweet little girl that she is.

Remember Jay, Bush repeatedly has said this Iraq War is as important as WW2. Well, of course, it was started by another Pearl Harbor. How logical of the man!!
